School Reminders: School begins at 7:45 AM. Scholars will be marked tardy after 8:00 AM. Please note that three tardies is equivalent to one absence.

Scholars must arrive to school with complete uniforms as outlined on our website/within our Family Handbook.

We have allowed solid black sneakers this year. Non- logo items are fine if Flynn and O’Hara cannot meet your needs. ACS hoodies are allowed only on Mondays and on your scholar’s PE day. Also, hair color(s) must visually reflect our scholar’s natural/original tint.

MAP Testing will continue and conclude on Friday, February 7th. Please make sure that all scholars receive an adequate amount of sleep, eat breakfast daily, and arrive at school on time.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire ACS community for helping to make Catholic Schools Week a success. The Celebration of our Parish, Pep Rally, ACS Got Talent, Class Color Day, and Celebrating our Nations Parade & Door Decorating Contest were AMAZING! Our December & January Scholars of the Month were awarded during Mass for exhibiting the following attributes:

December-“Principled”. Principled Scholars: Act with integrity and honesty, with a sense of fairness and justice, and with respect for the rights of people everywhere. They also take responsibility for their actions. Stay tuned for our selected scholars. ACS congratulates the following “Principled” scholars: K- Danielle Elisma, 1st- Kristen Harmon, 2nd- Yodahe Muluken, 3rd- Nayana Kaghambwa, 4th- Kalia Nevers, 5th- Andre McCain, 6th- Cherish Richardson, 7th- Ethan Acuna, & 8th- Jordan Hugee.

Also, January-“Open-Minded: They critically appreciate their own cultures and personal histories, as well as the values and traditions of others. They seek and assess a range of views, and are willing to grow as a result of each experience. ACS congratulates the following “Open Minded” scholars: K & 1st Grade- Gabriel Nunez, 2nd- Asher Storey, 3rd- Julie Rivera, 4th- Savannah Armstrong, 5th- Katherine Wilkerson, 6th- Cameron Vincent, 7th- Solyana Aman, & 8th- Peyton Phillip & Lukas Uppole.

Free Latin Tutoring for 7th & 8th grade scholars only, will take place after school on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays after school. Scholars must be registered to attend. Please contact Ms. Hyde to register: [email protected].

We are excited to share our new partnership with Bridge the Crenshaw, a student group from American University. They will be joining us as tutors and teacher assistants starting February 17th.
